A Little About Me

I am currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Technology at the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda. I completed my graduation in B.Sc. Botany from Stella Maris College, University of Madras. Then moved to Anna University to complete a Masters and Ph.D. in Environmental Science. I subsequently spent two years at IIT, Madras as a senior project officer in the Ministry of Urban development funded project ‘Decentralized wastewater management, benchmarking of public utilities, and public-private partnership.’

I have about 11 years of teaching and research experience and have published around 30 papers in high impact factor journals. I have also published 10 book chapters and presented papers in several national and international conferences within and outside the country. I have led about INR 3.5M worth research projects from various funding agencies like the Board of research in nuclear science (BRNS) and UGC. I also got the opportunity to develop several e-content modules for e PG pathshala in Solid and Hazardous waste management. I also developed modules for the MOOC course on Solid and Hazardous waste management, which is one of the popular courses in SWAYAM. I have mentored and guided 4 - Ph.D., 7 - M.Phil. and 15 - M.Sc. students. I organized two national interdisciplinary workshops in Environmental Science disciple as co-coordinator of the teaching-learning centre established under the Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission

on teachers and teaching.
