My research interests would focus on general areas such as membrane bioreactors for wastewater treatment, advanced biological processes for wastewater treatment, energy recovery from wastewater, biological nutrient removal, pollutant removal from groundwater, and solid waste management.

Explore the potential of bio-electrochemical systems (BES) such as microbial fuel cells, microbial electrolysis cells in energy recovery from wastewater
To study the microbial ecology of different wastewater treatment processes and
Explore the feasibility of modified membranes (polyelectrolyte multilayer membrane) in the removal of organic, inorganic pollutants, and heavy metals from drinking water and groundwater.
